General Description
The ST128 is a mixed-mode integrated circuit used to measure the impedance of an object. The sensor is formed by four probes which is composed of two pairs of metal plates. In contact with an object, the impedance between the probes can be measures with good RF immunity. Data can be acquired through the digital interface with up to 11bits resolution. The standby current is below 0.1uA and the system can be disabled by an ENABLE pin. There are two measurement ranges: standard and programmable. In standard mode, the parameters are preset in the ASIC. In the programmable mode, the parameters must be provided through the digital interface.
